DESCRIPTION

The Rollomatic GrindSmart 620XS is a fully automatic 6-axis CNC tool and cutter grinding machine designed for the high-precision manufacture and regrinding of rotary cutting tools.

Designed and manufactured in Switzerland, the 620XS provides complete grinding of complex cutting tools in a single setup and is particularly suited for the production of solid carbide and HSS cutting tools requiring high accuracy, repeatability and complex geometries.

The machine combines six CNC-controlled grinding axes with an integrated automatic loading system, allowing both small-batch production and unattended high-volume manufacturing.

This particular machine is equipped with a FANUC CNC control, FANUC Panel i operator interface and Rollomatic VirtualGrind® Version 4.11 software.

WORKPIECE CAPACITY

Published specifications for the 620XS corroborate approximately 320/220/180 mm travel on X/Y/Z and the A/B/C rotary-axis arrangement.

Here I would not put an exact maximum RPM yet. I found conflicting published specifications: one source gives 2,000–7,200 rpm, while another gives 500–10,000 rpm. 

The same applies to maximum wheel diameter: one published specification says 150 mm, another 8"/200 mm. Since we don't have the original build sheet for Machine No. 3534, I'd rather not advertise an uncertain number.
